We are a Messianic Hebrew community that teach and live according to the Commandments of The Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We are Sabbath keepers and believe that Yahshuah (Jesus) is The Messiah and we receive salvation through His Blood. Leviticus 23:1 “And YAHWEH spoke to Mosheh, saying, 23:2 “Speak to the children of Yisra’ěl, and say to them, ‘The appointed times of YAHWEH, which you are to proclaim as set-apart gatherings, My appointed times, are these:” We celebrate the mastery of our Wonderful Creator’s Season of joy in expectation of Our Messiah’s eventful return. In knowing this, we begin with Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread understanding that Yahshuah is our Unleavened Bread of life; Whose blood guarantees our salvation and redemption if we choose to accept it. Ending with The Feast of Ingathering which is the third time in the year when we are commanded to leave our homes and come before the Most High. It is also called the Feast of Tabernacles, Feast of Booths and The Feast of Sukkot.

Our demographics are exceptional in that we all come from different walks of life on a spiritual journey to know our Creator in a ‘real’ way. No longer being tied by tradition, Melo HaGoyim was established in 2003 by founding leaders Rabbis James and Aviyah Byers. The vision was to start a weekly Scripture study for those who wanted to learn the Torah and walk it out as best we can in the diaspora; thus, our slogan, “MHG, Where The Torah Is A Lifestyle.” Our current leaders Rabbi James Byers II, (affectionately called Rabbi II) along with his lovely wife Morah Shameka Byers are continuing the vision of brining The Teachings and Instructions (Torah) of our Wonderful Creator to those who desire to walk in the way of our fathers Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Yahshua The Messiah. We count it an honor to be called Isra’el and feel Blessed to have the opportunity to walk in the light of obedience to the Sacred Scriptures.

You are welcome to come and celebrate the Sabbath with us every seventh (Sabbath) day at 1:30 pm; we begin with the blowing of the shofars, live praise and worship, teachings and Scripture discussions. We are located at: 229 W. Acadia Avenue, Winston Salem, NC 27127
