Every day women must deal with issues concerning how we measure up to men. The truth is we really do not have to and are not suppose to in the Scriptural sense of the Word of Yah. Man has his role as the priest, headship and provider of his home. He is the visionary and light to every faucet of the world that the Father has given him. He stands as a beacon of ‘light’ to his family and guides his family in the way of the Torah. He focuses on long-term generational goals for his family. Woman is the nurturer and help meet for the positive progress of the family. She is her husband’s antenna (Genesis 3:15) and is imperative to birthing the vision of the family. She brings life into the family as everything that is birthed into the family comes through her. If a husband walks the ‘Righteous life’ as prescribed by the Scriptures, then his wife will bring forth great works as her body is the incubator of the family. If he plants bad seed then she along with his seed will reap the harvest of his sowing. We have very different jobs, but the goal is the same.

Should a woman make the same salary as her male counterpart in business if they have the same qualifications, background and skills? Yes, that has been established as precedence in the employment laws of this country. These laws have allowed women everywhere to prosper and excel in areas dominated by men. In the past we were not considered as ‘serious candidates’ for certain positions in the corporate world, but now have proven that we are viable partners in many aspects of business. Just as that has been established YAH Himself has set a position for His women as He, in all His infinite wisdom set precedence in the Garden of Eden. After He created women and brought her perfected to Adam He said in Genesis 1:28, “Bear fruit and increase, and fill the earth and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over all creatures moving on the earth.” This is note-worthy; He said this to both Adam and Hav’vah (Eve). Let us be very clear; the protocol was not set until after the fall of man.

My attempt is to bring Scriptural clarity to this topic. It is not to defend my position as a leader and teacher or to accept ridicule concerning the anointing that Father YAH has placed within me. I do not believe in men or women preachers or teachers for that matter, as we have been instructed by Messiah Yahshuah that The Ruach HaKodesh was going to lead us into all truths. He is the Teacher or Preacher; He is the Great Rabbi. All 120 souls male and female were endowed with The Ruach on the Day of Shavuot in Acts 2:17-18. He did not differentiate and neither will I. Shaul states in Galatians 3:28,”There is not Yehuḏi nor Greek, there is not slave nor free, there is not male and female, for you are all one in Messiah יהושע.” It is not my position to inform any man how to lead and manage his household. Each man is to be governed by The Ruach HaKodesh. If he is walking in the Spirit of Righteousness as prescribed by the Torah, then I believe that he will do as instructed concerning the gifts placed in his wife (1 Peter 3:1-7).

Let’s begin in Genesis chapter 21 with our father Abraham and Sarah his wife. Father YAH clearly tells Abraham to listen to the voice of his wife. That dispels the myth that man should not listen to the voice of his wife. This was a major life situation and The Most High instructs the husband to listen to his wife, why, because the promise was to be given to Yitshaq not Ishamel.

Judges chapter four begins with headship of a female judge; let us take a look at her story:

Judges 4:4 “And Deḇorah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappiḏoth, was ruling Yisra’ěl at that time.”

Deborah was married and was chosen to be judge in Israel during a time when Israel was being judged because they were acting wickedly in the eyes of YAHWEH. She gave wisdom to the leader of the army of Israel Baraq and they ended conquering the Ken’anite army. Historically there were men in Israel’s camp but, she was chosen to rule. Also, she had to know the Torah to rule in Righteousness, as that is required by the Torah according to Deuteronomy 17:18, all rulers had to write their own Torah to rule righteously.

Huldah: The leader of the School of Prophets in Jerusalem 2 Kings 22; 2 Chronicles 34

2 Kings 22:14 “Then Ḥilqiyahu the priest, and Aḥiqam, and Aḵbor, and Shaphan, and Asayah went to Ḥuldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum son of Tiqwah, son of Ḥarḥas, keeper of the wardrobe. Now she was dwelling in Yerushalayim in the Second Quarter. And they spoke with her.”

History tells us that Huldah was the Chief Prophet over the school of Prophets in Jerusalem. She trained men and women alike. She was the go-to when the high priest Hilqyahu found the book of Deuteronomy as they were repairing the temple. King Yoshiyahu and he sent the high priest and four others to Prophetess Huldah. She gave them the Word that Elohim gave to her for them and all of Israel accepted from the King down to all the inhabitants.

The Torah teaches us in Deuteronomy 21:18 “When a man has a wayward and rebellious son who is not listening to the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, when they have disciplined him, does not listen to them,”

Notice the son must listen to both Father and Mother not just the Father, some teach that every man is over every woman. This is a false teaching. Looking at the literal Scripture reference above tells us that this wayward/rebellious son is under the authority of both parents, not just the Father.

In Numbers 12 we see Miryam the sister of Moshe was one of the three leaders of Israel during the exodus. Numbers 12:2 states, “And they said, “Has יהוה spoken only through Mosheh? Has He not also spoken through us?” And יהוה heard it.” The Most High spoke through all three of the leaders not just Moshe and Aharon. When she passed the camp settled there for 30-days as they did for Aharon to mourn her death because of her position in Israel.

Joel 2:28 specifically states that sons and daughters shall prophesy. Women are the first teachers in their households and teach and study the Torah as all men of Israel. Proverbs 1:8 give credence to the last statement, “My son, heed the discipline of your father, And do not forsake the Torah of your mother;. This Proverb is speaking to a son adhering to the instructions of a Righteous mother in the Torah.

One may say well that is only being said for him to listen to ‘his mother.’ Let us look at 2 John 1:1.
When John wrote to the Elect Lady in 2nd John 1 he addressed her as the “Elect lady” or in Greek Kuria which when you go to the root of the word means leader or supreme over:

2John 1:1 The elder, G4245 presbuteros to a chosen Kuria (Female) Children= Techon (greek) – Children or group of people as an assembly

3John 1:1 The elder, to the beloved Gaios (Male) Elder – presbuteros: Senior/leader of people

Notice John uses the same verbiage when he addressed both these leaders, the word ‘elder’ in both letters denote that these two people were in charge of a group of people and not just their own houses.

This is a direct reference of women taking a leading role in the assemblies in the Renewed Covenant.

Remaining in the Renewed Covenant – Lydia accepted the Word of YAHWEH and had her entire house immersed (mikvad). She received the Word and apparently had the authority to have all her house immersed, did that include men; probably. In Greek the word for household is oikos, which is masculine as in Hebrew this means that if there are 99 women and 1 man the word must be masculine; so there had to be 1 man in that household who was immersed and Lydia had the authority to tell him to do so. That’s New Covenant Scripture.

John 16:13 states, “But when He comes, the Spirit of the Truth, He shall guide you into all the truth. For He shall not speak from Himself, but whatever He hears He shall speak, and He shall announce to you what is to come.
John 16:14 “He shall esteem Me, for He shall take of what is Mine and announce it to you.
John 16:15 “All that the Father has is Mine. That is why I said that He takes from what is Mine and announces it to you.”

These Scriptures prove my third paragraph, that it’s the Spirit of Truth that we should listen for and look to; nowhere in the Scripture does it tell us to at the outer appearance, because it’s the inward Man (Ruach HaKodesh) that should be speaking. As stated above Women were in attendance during the Feast of Shavuot. Act 1:12-14, 2:1-4 specify that all received the indwelling of the Ruach HaKodesh. None were turned away.

As a Congregational Leader along with my husband, he is my head and Messiah Yahshua is his. My husband doesn’t put limitations on the gifts that YAH has given me. I take my our orders from my Husband who is filled with the Spirit of The Most High and him alone. Every woman is governed by her husband, 1st Peter 3:1 “In the same way, wives, be subject to your own husbands.” If a woman does not have a husband then Messiah is her husband and her head.

The only reason that women are women is to bring life into this world, to multiply and increase in the earth. The Spiritual or Kingdom tasks are much greater (the Spirit of YAH = Hebrew words, ‘Nishma(aramaic)’ ‘Ruah’ ‘Shechenah’ are all feminine tense. What does this mean? We were created in HIS, Elohim’s likeness; what did that look like?

In conclusion, in no way shape, form or fashion should a woman usurp authority over her husband. Our husbands are life to us, there is joy and peace when we are working together as a unit. A woman will never be considered in the eyes of YAH as head over her husband; that protocol was set in the garden. This has nothing to do with the work that The Most High has placed in women through the Ruach HaKodesh concerning advancing the kingdom. He uses each vessel male and female according to His Divine Plan.

It’s about advancing the kingdom,
Blessings and Shalom
